The Faerie House : Hot Tub · Sauna · Forest Magic | Cabin in Idyllwild-Pine Cove
6 Bedroom Cabin in Idyllwild, Idyllwild-Pine Cove
Ninety minutes from the city. Worlds away from everything else.
The Faerie House is a one-of-a-kind artistic retreat tucked in the cedar and pine forests of Idyllwild — 90 to 120 minutes from Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
Private hot tub. Wood-burning sauna. An enchanted theatre suite. A library loft above a soaring wall of books. A vintage pinball game room. Six distinctive rooms, each with its own name and character.
THE SPACE:
The Faerie House was not built to a formula. The bones of this place — the stained glass, the spiral staircase, decades of artistic intention in its walls — were already here. What came next was years of layering: design, atmosphere, and beauty added with care until the space became something genuinely unlike anything else in Southern California.
Large enough for a full group. Intimate enough that everyone ends up in the same room at midnight. Distinctive enough that guests arrive expecting something special and leave saying it was more than they imagined.
THE ROOMS:
The SkyReach Suite is the primary master bedroom — spacious, beautifully appointed, dressed in crisp white linens with warm layered lighting. The room that sets the tone for everything else. Sleeps 2.
The Enchanted Treehouse Theatre Suite is an immersive cinematic room with a full theatre setup — projector, sound, and a complete viewing experience — with a cozy ground-level sleeping space for 2 nestled beneath it and up a spiral staircase art installation, you'll discover another bed in the loft that also sleeps 2.
The Librarian's Loft is an intimate sleeping nook above a soaring wall of books. Cozy, quietly magical, and completely its own thing. Sleeps 1 full sized human or 2 petites or cuddlers. The futon can be topped with bedding and converted to a sleeper for a petite or kiddo.
The Whisper Room is a quiet, wood nested bedroom with a TV, its own distinct atmosphere and gentle privacy from the rest of the house. Sleeps 2.
The Hollow feels like a cozy cocoon bedroom with rich forest tones and a feeling that guests settle into quickly and leave reluctantly. Sleeps 2.
The Revel Room Flex Studio (included for groups of 14+ or available as an add on)
is your moody everything is possible space. Imagine pinball, dance pole, yoga mats, bar, dedicated sound system and tv + Murphy bed that sleeps 2 + futon for a petite sleeper.
The Ammonite Den is located in a common area with fireplace and an L shaped seating + big cushioned ottoman that squish together. Add a memory foam topper + bedding (provided) to sleep 2 in this zone.
AMENITIES:
Private hot tub — heated year-round, available throughout your stay, and located high in the tree canopy for privacy and play under the forest sky.
Wood-burning sauna — firewood staged and ready on arrival. The ritual of loading and lighting it is part of the experience. Takes some love and about 45 minutes to reach full temperature.
Outdoor shower under the sky upon your exit from the sauna through the secret passageway straight into nature.
The Revel Room — a game room and creative studio with a pinball machine and sound system, bar, dance pole, TV, fireplace heater, and yoga mats
Four full bathrooms — including the infinity-mirror Moon Rise Bath and the Sun Set Bath with gorgeous views, perched high above the forest, both of which tend to stop guests mid-sentence.
Multiple fire pits — 2 indoor wood burning fireplaces, 2 indoor faux fireplace heaters, 3 outdoor fire pits on the deck for the evenings.
Chef's kitchen — large, well-equipped, with quite possibly the best speakers in the house makes for a celebration of culinary artistry in communion.
Multiple decks and outdoor gathering spaces — facing the forest, good at every hour.
High-speed WiFi throughout.
Parking for multiple vehicles.
EXPERIENCES AVAILABLE AS ADD-ONS:
Sound journeys. Guided movement and yoga sessions. Creative workshops. Fireside closing ceremonies. Romantic arrival enhancements. Each experience is 60 to 90 minutes and shaped around your group. From $45 to $85 per person. Ask when you book.
THE GATHERING SPACE:
The Faerie House was made for the groups who want more than a rental — who want a weekend worth remembering.
Birthday weekends. Reunions. Girls trips. Family gatherings. Founder retreats and mastermind weekends. Intimate ceremonies and micro-weddings in the forest. The house sleeps up to 16 guests across eight distinctive sleeping spaces, each one with its own name, its own character, and its own particular magic.
Bring your favorite people. We'll provide the atmosphere.
THE LOCATION:
Idyllwild is a small mountain arts community in the San Jacinto Mountains — one of Southern California's best-kept secrets. Elevation 5,400 feet. Cool even in summer. Known for its artists, its trails, and the particular quality of its quiet.
90 to 120 minutes from Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. About an hour from Palm Springs.
The kind of place that feels like it was always there waiting.
You'll have full private access to the entire Faerie House and its forest surroundings for the duration of your stay — every room, every deck, every fire pit, the private hot tub in the tree canopy, the wood-burning sauna and its secret outdoor shower passageway, and all gathering spaces throughout the property.
The Revel Room Flex Studio is included for groups of 14 or more guests and available as an optional add-on rental for smaller groups — just ask when you book.
The Faerie House is an open-concept, multi-level property with eight distinctive sleeping spaces. Two of the sleeping areas are loft-style — one above the Library wall of books, and one above the Theatre Suite accessed by the spiral staircase art installation. Both offer separation and their own sense of privacy by virtue of being on different levels, though they are open-concept within their respective rooms rather than fully enclosed rooms.
We're happy to answer any questions about the layout before you book — it's a genuinely unique and enchanted design and we want you to feel fully comfortable with the flow of the space.
Our intention is to be present without hovering and responsive without being intrusive.
We genuinely care about the experience your group has here and we're available to answer questions, make recommendations, and help with anything that comes up — just reach out by message and she'll respond promptly. If any issues arise whatsoever, please let us know asap. Most of the time when things come up, we're able to help resolve remotely promptly.
The Faerie House is designed to feel like yours from the moment you arrive. To ensure you feel fully oriented on arrival —please read the house book before or upon landing. We're happy to support an enchanting experience as well as give your group the space and privacy to make the weekend your own.
